With your help and input, we have started this exciting journey of updating our Municipal brand in August of 2023 and we are nearing completion! We continue to need your input on helping us choose which logo best represents the Municipality and each of the 3 communities within as well as catchy tag lines! The Voting poll will soon be posted - please stay tuned here! Please take the time to vote. Through this branding process, together we will: Creating a new municipal logo incorporating aspects of the 3 communities Create a new municipal tagline Create new logos and taglines for Mildmay, Teeswater & Formosa Review existing branding and façade guidelines for Mildmay and Teeswater and potentially revise based on community inputCreate branding and façade guidelines for Formosa so they are eligible for grantsThe goal is to give us a fresh new modern look and to make our community feel more united and cohesive, to foster economic growth of new businesses and residents, and to boost our South Bruce community pride. We will also be creating façade guidelines to create cohesiveness and more granting opportunities for our South Bruce businesses as branding and façade guidelines are a requirement to be eligible for granting opportunities both through Bruce County and municipal funding programs. Therefore, the branding process is necessary so that all businesses within our municipality have equal opportunity for grants and resources. The federal government has announced that Canada will ban the sale of fuel-burning new cars and light-duty trucks by 2035 as part of their efforts to reach net zero emissions across the country by 2050. The federal government has set a target for Zero Emission Vehicles (ZEV) to be 10 percent of all car sales by 2025&mdash;reaching 100 percent of all sales by 2035. Projections indicate Ontario will have almost three million ZEVs on the road by 2035. We would like to hear from you on your thoughts surrounding South Bruce owning and operating EV Chargers!
