International Conference on Geological Repositories (ICGR)
In February, Council chose to virtually attend and participate in the Sixth International Conference on Geological Repositories (ICGR).
To extend this opportunity to interested community members, the Municipality is offering public viewing for this conference, which runs from April 5th to April 7th.
Due to the conference taking place in Finland and the virtual component not being recorded, the public viewing will occur in real-time which means between 2:00am and 11:00am (approximately) from Tuesday April 5th, until Thursday, April 7th.
At this time, the public viewing is set to take place in the Council Chambers in the Municipal Office, which is located at 21 Gordon Street East, Teeswater.
The full agenda for the conference can be found in the Documents tab on the right side of the page. If you are interested in attending a public viewing, kindly pre-register. This will help us ensure we have sufficient seating, and enough refreshments available. However, drop-ins are permitted if you are unable to confirm in advance.
There is also a Younger Generation Session taking place on Monday, April 4th from 8:20-10:30am. This forum is geared towards those under 30 years old, and/or with 0-5 years of work experience. Registration for this portion of the conference can be done through the following form, or by completing the monthly #NextGenNetwork form on the municipal website: www.southbruce.ca/NextGenNetwork
